Redirect Checker

Follows the redirects from the home page of a public site, up to 10, one request each, made from an AOD Pulse probe. The result is kept for 24 hours.

What is checked

Each hop shows the status code, the address and how long the answer took. A hop that points to a port other than 80 or 443, to a private address or to an address with a user name is shown but not followed. The check notes whether http:// is sent to https://, loops, long chains and a move from https:// back to http://. Only the address you enter is requested first; the path is always the home page.
